Dow Corning has extended their on-premise SAP EHS and REACH applications that support its product stewardship program to include SAP EHS Regulatory Documentation (ERD), a cloud-based content service for Safety Data Sheet generation. SAP ERD and SAP EHS are networked so that Dow Corning product data is transferred to SAP ERD for classification and SDS generation, and the SDS’s, hazard label text and supporting data is transferred back to Dow Corning’s SAP EHS system for downstream process and other compliance use. Dow Corning will present their experience integrating SAP ERD in their product stewardship processes from an IT and business processes perspective and the benefits related to global standardization, quality, and cost benefits.
