The Intelligent Enterprise App - A Framework for an Oil & Gas Company's Journey

At SAPPHIRE 2019, we launched the Oil & Gas Intelligent Enterprise (IE) App. The IE App is a one-stop place to learn how Oil & Gas companies can approach their journey to a digital Intelligent Oil & Gas Enterprise from a business point of view.

Starting with the Intelligent Suite, along with Intelligent Technologies, the IE App highlights the value of SAP S/4HANA for Oil & Gas companies. The IE App describes the how Intelligent Technologies can optimize, extend and transform the business with links to videos to learn how peers have already started their adoption of the specific capabilities along with their business value and impact. Furthermore, the IE App walks through an end-to-end scenario for Design to Operate to illustrate the industry business priorities, key capabilities, and key embedded product technologies that support the end-to-end scenario. Each process step highlights the recommended best practices and associated business value in relation to current common practices.

The IE App explores how each of the industry’s strategic priorities are influenced through each step of the journey from optimize through extend and transform, and sets the vision for each priority as supported by core industry next generation processes.

Here too, each strategic priority is illustrated by links to videos of peers and their experiences.

And, to support the journey to the Intelligent Enterprise, the IE App has links to SAP digital roadmaps, the SAP Transformation Navigator with product guidance, how SAP runs SAP, a recommended engagement and governance model,  and an outline of the SAP S/4HANA Move program for further guidance on the adoption of SAP S/4HANA.

 

Of course, the IE App is not an end point or destination. It is a framework to start the business discussions within each Oil & Gas company on what it means to be an Intelligent Oil  & Gas Enterprise. We look forward to further engagement along the journey!
