On March 18, the official opening of the Mission Control Center (MCC) in Newtown Square took place. It was done with a big time celebration! A few hundreds SAP employees and customers joined the MCC launch. The control center approach from SAP Active Global Support was developed to help customers that have an SAP ActiveEmbedded or SAP MaxAttention engagement achieve the most effective and efficient implementations and on-going operations possible. This approach consists of three concepts:

  1. The Innovation Control Center (ICC), to drive continuous business improvement within lines of business along with supporting implementation and innovation projects via industry best-practice solution provisioning, allowing you to "Build SAP Like a Factory".
  2. The Operation Control Center (OCC), which handles orchestration and operations in the system landscape, allowing you to "Run SAP Like a Factory".
  3. SAP regional Mission Control Centers (MCC), support both the ICC and OCCs at the customer location and help ensure that SAP best practices are in use in customer landscapes.

The MCC is a game changing approach to support and enable our customers with their transition to new SAP innovations such as SAP HANA, Mobile and Cloud solutions. By leveraging the latest technologies including dashboards, monitors and video conferencing, the MCC enables instantaneous sharing of information between our customers and SAP experts. The MCC is for instance featuring a wall of eight video screens.
