Scenario :

You use Client/Server certificates for authentication when using the SFTP Adapter on PI 7.3.

Why are we still required to enter the rsa-ssh fingerprint of the SSH server?

Well, as of SFTP Adapter 1.0 SP1 Patch 3, we no longer require this - this is important because if the SFTP fingerprint changes and you originally used Client/Server authentication, the adapter will fail stating the fingerprint is invalid!

With OSS Note # 1833743 (deployment) you can bypass this fingerprint check by putting a * in the Server fingerprint field!

Note : Use telnet to deploy the .SCA file incase JSPM doesn't pick it up for you 🙂
