During February 21-22 of 2013 our strong SAP team - john.astill (from SAP IT - Mobile CoE), lukasz.piatkowski , adam.goljan (both from SAP Poland) and yours truly (from the team behind SAP Developer Center) - attended Mobile Trends Conference in Kraków, Poland.

We were the Gold Sponsor of this conference that was targeted to everyone, who participated in creating and using modern mobile technologies and software. Over two days the event was attended by about 500 participants, including some of the most interesting names from the mobile community in Poland, like Monika Mikowska (blogger at Jestem.mobi) or Piotr Konieczny (mobile security expert from Niebezpiecznik).

The first day gathered those focused on commercial aspects of the mobile world: from mobile marketing to m-commerce, and from selling mobile apps to in-apps purchases. During that day Łukasz presented our SAP Store, how it works from both customer and partners perspectives, and how to join our SAP's Mobile Apps Partner Program.

Mobile Trends Awards happened at the end of the first day, and for many this part looked like an Oscars' rehearsal 😉 It was an honor for me to join the voting and awarding committee. Congratulations to the winners!

The second day was the core one - at least for us. It was the full day dedicated to mobile development and developers. This is when John rocked with his stories on how SAP runs SAP Mobile, and demoed how to build a simple mobile app based on SAP Mobile Platform in just 40 minutes!

All in all: professionaly organized event, well spent time, good discussions, enjoyable experience. Looking forward to the next year!

PS. I'd like to thank all our SAP colleagues, who supported our sponsorship, content, gifts and presence at the conference, including anne.hardy, inga.bereza, thomas.grassl, ian.thain, helena.losada, Kasia Anyżewska, martin.lang, ingo.sauerzapf, clemens.suter-crazzolara and many others!
