Dear customers, partners and colleagues,

It was an outstanding, busy, informative and intensive three days in Milan during the International SAP Conference for Oil and Gas and Utilities.

Sixteen detailed pre-conference workshops were held on the 2nd of April (day 0), and it was only the beginning.

Every day was packed with knowledge sharing, great examples, great customer stories and plenty of networking.

On the 3rd of April – Day 1 of the Conference, the opening keynotes were livestreamed via Twitter and those who could not join us this year in person were able to share these moments at the same time online.

There were over 65 keynotes and track presentations presented at the conference.

Microforums and demo sessions were fully packed, and SAP experts and partners were fully engaged. Attendees followed their predefined plan, moving from a microforum or a showcase to an industry track or one-on-one meetings with SAP Industry Leads. Overall, more than 75 microforums and live demo sessions, and 70 executive meetings were held during the event.

This year T.A. Cook and SAP focused on being “green” and therefore paperless. Our badges had no plastic cover like years before, our agenda was digital, and a specially designed application guided our guests and presenters to the right location and supported planning their meetings during this time.

The Business Women Networking Luncheon offered all the ladies at the conference a chance to meet each other in a warm atmosphere, sharing a great story of a women standing up against all odds in making her own career and a prosperous life. “We are what we want to be. It is all about opportunity”, says Emanuela da Silva, Haed of IT Data at E.ON, during her speech.

The evening event made a perfect end of the day, letting all the attendees to relax in a casual setup, enjoy music and an entertainment program, and delicious Italian cuisine.

“Charged” and motivated attendees on the second day, 4th of April, experienced more expert tracks, more customers stories, more technology updates.

It was busy in the exhibition theatre: fantastic expert presentations, talk to expert sessions, SAP Leonardo and Partner Pods were always full. This year, 31 partners sponsored the conference.

More than 1,100 delegates represented 60 countries. We had the unique opportunity to hear and meet with them while in Milan.

Such a massive flow of energy during one of the biggest conferences in the energy world – the International SAP Conference for Oil and Gas and Utilities in Milan, 2019.

Thank you all for the great conference and we will see you again next year!
