Ever since this blog was written a while back I have been hooked on using the FREE tutorials SAP provides, produced by SAP's In Product Education Team.  The link is easy to remember: sap.com/LearnBI

Early on, the tutorials were interactive and made using Adobe Captivate.  Now they are on YouTube so you can watch them with your mobile device(s).

Recently SAP launched a YouTube Channel where you can subscribe to the channel and be notified when new recordings are available - the channel link  is http://www.youtube.com/user/SAPAnalyticsTraining?feature=g-high-u

Note that once you go to sap.com/LearnBI you can also be notified of the new tutorials as they are posted by selecting "Receive email notifications"

Check out the "Hot Topic" section below at sap.com/LearnBI

I have used the tutorials for SAP Design Studio at this link, BI Mobile and Visual Intelligence.  Some tutorials I have used to build proof of concepts.  I like to play the tutorial, pause it, and then go into a sandbox system and try it out myself.

With some of the products, you can get to these tutorials straight from the product - see example for Dashboards below (same holds true for Crystal Reports 2011, BI Mobile)

With Dashboards, you can get to the e-learning via the eLearning tab or go to the menu Help -> Tutorials.

Also new on sap.com/LearnBI are BI Ecosystem Videos, such as this one for Sizing for BI Explorer:

These tutorials are a bit longer, and give you the "blackboard" effect.

Do you have an idea or suggestion for a BI tutorial and it is not available?  The SAP team is very responsive to ideas on Idea Place.

So are you receiving notifications?  Have you subscribed?  How many tutorials are there for the IDT?  How do you save an Analysis View?  Find out at sap.com/LearnBI and subscribe to the YouTube channel.
