The Questions
What is your Favorite festival?
DURGA PUJA is my most favorite festival. Durga Puja is celebrated during October month in India. However it is a national festival, but its popularity is most visible in eastern part of India, specially in West Bengal. Durga Puja is the festival which epitomizes the triumph of good over evil. Elaborate structures (called ‘pandals’) are made to house the clay images & Durga Puja offers an avenue for various artists (even Art Students) to bring out their creative juices in designing and making the images and the ‘pandals’.
The startling atmosphere during Durga festival is very enjoyable..So many pandals with ever new themes, fabulous lighting, huge crowds, miraculous crowd management by Kolkata Police, sounds of dhakis, anjali prayers from so many pandals dotting the city. A pity that the ‘pandals’ & images have a very short life. The images are immersed after 4 days of the festival and the pandal is taken down to pieces, may be to be assembled in some form a year later.
If you are planning to visit Kolkata, I suggest plan it during October month. You can see the magic of Durga Puja festival.
What is your Favourite Food?
My favourite foods are Hilsa(also called Ilish) fish and Biriyani. Hilsa fish is most popular among Bengali community, where as Biriyani is a popular preparation in India.
Hilsa fish is famous for its taste and smell(good). There are more than 50 preparation for Hilsa fish, but the preparation I like most is "Sarse Ilish". It is prepared with mustard seed paste, curd, Dahi, different condiments like jira and so on. It is a costly fish and only available during rainy season.
Indian Biriyani is popular because of its taste. Although the preparation of Biriyani varies state to state. I like the preparation of Biriyani of Hyderabad most. It is prepared with made basmati rice along with chiken or mutton. To foreigners it may taste a bit rich, but believe me after few bites you are going to like it.
What is your favorite city?
Paris - One of the favourite cultural and romantic city of World. Along woth that festival and fashion in Paris attract me most.
What is your professional life dream?
I have few plans on a good financial product. In future if I get an opportunity then I would like to implement those plan and start my own enterprise...yeah it is a big dream !
What do you imagine or predict is the future of your topic?
SAP HANA and MOBILE. It is the future. If you want to do your business process realtime fast.You have no option other than use SAP HANA. In the edge of Mobile, all application for Mobile will have great future.
What is your least favorite piece of technology today?
Mobile battery and its chargers. Each of the mobile manufactures have their own battery and its charger. You can't use one mobiles battery in other (there are exceptions). Also battery charger from one mobile manufacturer can't be used to charge other manufacturer's mobile. I think sometime in our life we faced a situation where our mobile battery is out of charge and you are looking for a place where a battery charger from your manufacturer is available. I think batteries and its charger could be made standardized, such that we need to bother about mobile battery and its charger irrespective of manufacturers.
