The Jury of four Mobile Experts - Nick McQuire (Analyst, Mobile, IDC), Dennis Howlett (IT Industry Analyst), Colin Sharp (SAP EMEA), Michael Heim (SAP DACH) - have selected the three finalists for the 2012 Challenge from over 350 app submissions and 150 partner participants.

We thank all the partners that have submitted their app showcases to the Partner Mobility App Catalog (EMEA) - overall the submissions showed a high quality and commitment to our joint customers. Feel free to continue submitting apps to that site; as this continues to be a simple, yet very attractive way to make your mobile apps known to the SAP customer base. The jury followed the pre-announced criteria catalog (appended) to score the individual mobile apps. The Jury consisted of ). At the end of this careful analysis the following three finalists (shown in alphabetical order) were identified:

It is planned that the ultimate winner of this year’s challenge will be announced by SAP CIO, Oliver Bussmann, in an Award ceremony at SAPPHIRE NOW Madrid on Thursday Nov 15, 13:30-13:50 in the Mobile campus.

Both SAP and partners realize that mobile will be the next desktop for our customers, transforming business processes (B2E) and the way we engage with consumers (B2C).", said Colin Sharp, Vice President Mobility, SAP EMEA and one of the Jury Members. “Partners are showing tremendous interest, as also witnessed during the Mobile Apps Challenge, and have already developed a wide range of innovative, high-quality apps. We congratulate the three finalists for their outstanding apps. Our goal is to have over 80 percent of mobile apps running on the SAP mobile platform to be contributed by our partners. Our joint customers are eager to learn about the exciting possibilities in this area.”

Does the app make a significant/disruptive impact on the user's life and business experience
