I was blogged forward by greg.myers3 http://scn.sap.com/people/greg.myers3/blog/2012/08/20/blog-it-forward--greg-myers

My name is Tom Cenens, and I am a SAP Technical Consultant at Infinite Solutions in Belgium and an SAP Mentor. I specialize in SAP system administration and SAP Solution Manager. I'm currently working in different roles, one being a business analyst for SAP Solution Manager at a large Belgian SAP customer so I don't limit myself to doing only technical work. I love being creative and doing new things, give me new technology and I'll give you a smile back

This is my profile picture. Why do I like it so much? Because there is a story behind the picture. Some of you might now the story but I hope some readers do not know because I love to tell the tale. We were going to celebrate my grand-dad's 80th birthday and I needed a hair cut. My girlfriend at that time (since very recently my wife) was going to cut my hair with a pair of clippers but she used the wrong setting and sort or less cut most of my hair off . The picture was taken in the restaurant and we (including me) were laughing with my hair failure and we had a blast that day celebrating my grand-dad's 80th birthday. So you can say it brings up good memories when I see my profile picture. Sooner or later I'll replace it with another picture that holds another tale but until then, this is the memory of the my profile picture.

Fun Fact:

Every year we (my wife, kids and friends of ours and their kids) rent a house somewhere in Belgium and stay there for a week. During that week we don't have any internet connection nor do we use devices that can go online. That way we can really connect with our friends, do fun stuff like sight-seeing and play board games in the evenings. I love playing board games (as well as other games), especially tactical ones where you have to think about your next move or where you can influence the behaviour of other players. I've recently bought Battlelore and I've started painting the troops of Battlelore which is a fun activity. It will take me a long time to paint each model because there are about 200 miniatures in the box.

What was your dream job as a kid?

Since I was little I've always enjoyed playing games. We had a commodore 64 back then with loads of games on it. The fact that a game can represent what one imagines somehow draws me out. I have a huge imagination and games are the sort of thing that triggers it even more. My dream job was to become a game programmer / creator. The closest I have come is creating a modification for Unreal Tournament 2003 (see screenshot above) which involved racing RC cars around tracks and having all kinds of power-ups to the disposal to hold back other racers much like the style of ReVolt (for the gamers).

What is your favorite place in the world?

Tough question, my heart is where my home is since my family and kids are there. Besides home, I love sightseeing , we (my wife and I) have visited cities such Rome and Paris to do sightseeing and visit museums of all sorts. In April I was in the US for the first time, more specifically Palo Alto and I enjoyed sightseeing in the area of San Francisco.

What was the most fun project you ever participated in and why?

No doubt about it, the SCNotty awards at SAP TechED Madrid 2011. The collaboration with gali.klingschneider and sylvia.santelli hosting the SCNotties and the rap act that Gali and I brought was great fun. Stepping out of the comfort zone and meeting a lot of new people, being social, handing out rewards, so much fun and so rewarding. I can't wait to see the SCNotties 2012 and I've already got evil plans to make my own SCNotty video . No, it will not be a rap video this time.
