A business is only as good as its data. The accuracy of enterprise information is the foundation for a business’ success—or failure. The 2012 ASUG Annual Conference will help you learn which SAP enterprise information management tools will help you to eliminate cracks in that foundation, and how to get started with these tools. If you are trying to find a way to convince your company that information should indeed be treated as a true enterprise asset, this conference will definitely help you. The conference includes many sessions on Enterprise Information Management (EIM) and Information Governance.

In addition to the sessions, most customer-led, we will also have two pre-conference sessions. The aim of the pre-conference sessions is to really help you dig in to the next level of detail for both solution strategies, as well as tool features. These pre-Conference sessions will be held on Sunday May 13th . Hurry! They are filling up quickly! (Register here: http://www.sapandasug.com/asugindepth.html)

Governing Master Data in an SAP Landscape

Half-Day SeminarSunday, May 13, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
$295.00 ASUG Member/$395.00 Non-Member

This session explores the hot topic of information governance. It will guide participants in formulating an approach to developing an information governance strategy. Attendees will learn where to start to create a roadmap for a successful information governance program. Presenters will demonstrate how to begin actively managing master data in the SAP environment though SAP’s Enterprise Information Management (EIM) tools.

Presenters will also discuss the features and capabilities of SAP BusinessObjects Information Steward. They will give examples of how Information Steward maximizes return on investment (ROI) in your information governance initiatives, how it measures data quality, establishes actionable data quality metrics, and determines the impact of data quality on business.

Attendees will also learn more about SAP Master Data Governance, a tool that can establish more efficient business processes and better decision-making. Find out how this solution fits in the SAP landscape—and how it can use all of the rich information gathered by Information Steward. Presenters will interactively white-board topics like data model, security, workflow, data replication, extensibility, and reporting and showcase available content to start (or continue) a master data journey.
