/LSA420/ LSA Scalability & Data Domains – Business Transformation Layer
Background
With the new Data Flow Template feature it is now possible describing LSA standards directly in BW.
With BW 7.30 there comes a set of 10 LSA data flow templates as an initial offering.
This blog describes the LSA Data Flow Template LSA420 that illustrates the role of the Business Transformation Layer.
For general information about LSA Data Flow Templates please refer to
Description
Template LSA420 is based on LSA400. LSA420 illustrates the role of the Business Transformation Layer. With complex business rules like measuring supply chain performance (Case & Line Fill scenario), it might be necessary to have an additional persistency (SPO DSO) in the Business Transformation Layer.
The semantic partitioning criteria for the Business Transformation Layer DSOs are normally inherited from the previous layer (propagation layer).

Target Group
LSA420 is a standard flow template for all larger BWs that typically have a large geographical spread

- The semantic partitioning is modeled homogeneously for all InfoProviders of the data flow
