HANA took many people by surprise and everyone wanted to know more details about it. My day started with fellow SAP BI/BOBJ colleagues talking about it.
Well i was more interested on the session on Cloud which has also generated similar enthusiasm if not more. SAP on Cloud - Accenture Point of View was the session which i had planned to attend. The speaker, Shiva Devireddy, for this session was from Accenture (My current Employer) and having interacted him once i was rather more interested. To my surprise it was packed to its full capacity with few even standing much before the scheduled time. I was really disappointed on not been able to make it!!
Such was the presentation and interest that several request went to SAP to conduct the session again next day! Shiva must be a happy man!
I attended a demo session on Sybase mobile solution which i really liked as it was fast and very effective. If utilised to its full extent Sybase with its mobile prowess and SAP's enterprise applications with their tremendous reach can turn the game any day.
I also attended sessions on BRF plus and BRM (NetWeaver). This was more or less a comparison between the two from business perspective.
I also met participants from Day 1 Demo jam Session in the Expert Lounge where i interacted with some of them and i went deep into the technicalities of one of the Demo which was on Offline CRM quotation of i-pad. Some very interesting stuff all around.
Later in the day i also met Arvind Ganju who is Chief Solution Architect at SAP Labs India with whom i have worked previously. It's always an enriching experience interacting with him because he is so clear in technology and still very much approachable. We talked about his latest move into Rapid deployment solutions.
This was my second consecutive day on so much of technology. All in all i was happy meeting people and connecting with as many of them as possible. With some of them i had coffee at community clubhouse.
The only disappointment was that there was literally nothing on core CRM solution.
