Idea Place launched earlier this year for SCN members BUT did not include support for SAP Service Marketplace (SMP) users. Even though, SMP user support was planned for Q4, many SMP users were very eager to start participating on Idea Place now.
Well, I am happy to say we have developed a great solution.
As of today, all SMP users can logon to Idea Place via their SMP passport. If you are an SMP user and do not already have a passport, it is an easy straightforward process to receive one. Simply login to service.sap.com and click on “Benefit from Single Sign On” in the top-right corner.
After a few short steps, you will have a SAP passport (browser side certificate). Then, by browsing to Idea Place (ideas.sap.com) you will be automatically signed in (no username and password required) – i.e. Single Sign On (SSO). This is the same SSO for SCN or SMP that exists today.
