It has been far too long since I posted a blog, and my goal this year is to do this regularly. I would like to start my first blog of 2010 with a gift to all of you Delphi Prism users, sample projects! I have three projects to start with:

  1. Simple Report Previewer, a very simple example of loading, viewing and exporting reports with the Crystal .NET SDK.
  2. LogonInfo Subreport, an example of accessing subreports and setting logon information for all tables used in the report.
  3. BusinessObjects Enterprise viewer, an example of logging onto BusinessObjects Enterprise and viewing a report with the Page or Report Application Server.

These, the first of what I hope will be many more, are Delphi Prism 2009 samples using the Crystal Reports 2008 and BusinessObjects XI R3 SDK. All samples at this point will be listed in our samples WIKI, please refer to this Crystal Reports and Enterprise .NET developer resources for information on how to find samples.

As for Delphi Prism 2010, we currently do not have any samples for this as we do not have an SDK that targets Visual Studio 2010 available yet. The SDK is in the works to be available as a free download. To keep informed about our VS 2010 offerings please visit
Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET and Crystal Reports in Visual Studio 2010.

As for the official support policy for Dephi Prism 2009 and Prism 2010 it remains as before, best effort. We will do our best to help you with any issues, though any issues will need to be tested and verified in Microsoft's C#, C++ and VB .NET. However we are investigating the possibility of adding Delphi Prism as a supported platform in the future.
