SAP Influence Opportunities
Influence is the ability of one party to direct the actions of another. In the area of SAP influence it is the voice of many customers that direct changes in both the design and processes of SAP software. Through the different methods below, you too can Influence SAP software while enhancing the user experience for everyone.

Within these different avenues there are many opportunities to get involved:
- Virtual Events (Webcasts & Teleconferences)
- Face to Face Events
- Surveys and Reports
- Ramp Up participation through early implementation of a new solution
SAP works with ASUG to host periodic executive exchanges focusing on SAP directions and your company plans for the next 2-5 years. These executives discuss strategies such as how IT is aligning with the Business. What challenges are the members facing and how could the SAP solution be enhanced to solve these challenges?
Influence councils are small groups of SAP customers working to add or enhance functionality in the next 18 months or sooner. At SAP TechEd there are multiple sessions either providing updates on in-flight changes, or seeking customers to gather solid requirements for the kick off of new Influence Councils.
Usability and Ramp-up are great carry-on activities to the work performed through Influence Councils. If you have worked on requirements for the next release, why not test drive them as part of a usability session or be an early adaptor through the ramp-up program. Both of these activities are gathering initial customer feedback that may influence or change the product before is it made generally available.
