It's that time of the year, SAP TechEd is just around the corner and that means the coolest thing, our own "American Idol" for Geeks has just opened it's site for submissions!

Now this year we've made several changes from previous years and we've taken a few new steps.

For one, for those who don't know me I am Craig Cmehil and have been dealing with community, development and technology for over 20 years now in one professional capacity or another and I am the host of the 2009 Demo Jam for the US, EMEA and India. Starting today I'm also (first time ever) available to consult, listen to and discuss your ideas before you even bother to submit it! I'll be using my past experiences with Demo Jam, SAP and SAP TechEd to help you put forth your best ideas!

You can click my "Business Card" above and find all my contact info, comment here or even post to the SAP TechEd forum and I'll get back to you and set up a time or you can propose one yourself.

In addition to that major addition we've also modified the rules from the previous years...

  1. No sales presentations allowed.
  2. Demos must focus on SAP technologies and applications but may also include third-party integration scenarios.
  3. No PowerPoint slides allowed. You must demo code that actually runs.
  4. Demos must be no more than six minutes in length.
  5. A maximum of two people may present the demo onstage.

This year the Demo Jam is already shaping up to be even better than the previous years and for now I'll leave everyone with a taste of what's to come!
