In 2008, as part of SAP's annual Partner Satisfaction Survey, partners were asked for the first time to provide their feedback on the SAP Community Network (SCN) which includes major SAP communities such as the SAP Developer Network (SDN), the Business Process Expert (BPX) community, the Business Objects Community (BOC), and others. We were pleased to learn that, overall, 84% percent of partners ranked their satisfaction level with SCN as good, very good, or excellent--with SIs the most satisfied partner type at 87%.

Just as importantly, partners offered input on what SAP Community Network enhancements they would find most valuable. Suggestions included greater opportunities for lead generation, partner-to-partner networking, and exposure within vertical markets. Fortunately, many of these suggestions have been directly addressed through the recent launch of the SAP EcoHub (https://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/). This new online, community-powered solution marketplace offers partners the opportunity to showcase their solutions and build a direct dialogue with potential customers that can result in quality leads and solution sales. Additionally, the connection with the customer community gives partners the direct and straightforward feedback to recognize whitespace opportunities for future features and products to meet emerging market needs.

Partner satisfaction remains a top SAP and SCN priority in 2009, as does delivering significant value to partners. Today, SAP partners reap substantial business and educational benefits through participation--access to a breadth of information to stay current with SAP's latest products, roadmaps, and technologies; opportunities to publicly demonstrate thought leadership and market their expertise; and recognition for significant contributions through programs and awards.

If you are a partner already actively participating in SCN and leveraging the significant benefits, we would like to thank you for contributing to our vibrant SCN community. If you have yet to become actively involved and are interested in learning more about how to get the most value from these online virtual communities, or want to provide us additional feedback on any of SAP's communities (SDN, BPX, BOC, EcoHub...), we want to hear from you; please contact your SAP partner representative or send an email to sapnetwork@sap.com.
