Since the release of Xcelsius 2008 Software Development Kit last year, we have seen some remarkable examples of what’s possible with the new SDK including integration with Google spreadsheet, Google Maps, Xcelsius Free Add-ons and Prototypes, and more. These add-on solutions are not only further simplifying effective decision-making in many organizations by enabling easier data access and consumption for anyone, anywhere, but also setting new dashboarding and data visualization trends.  To foster more innovative dashboarding and data visualization capabilities for Xcelsius through the use of the SDK, we are running a contest offering a cash prize and a free copy of Adobe Creative Suite to the best Xcelsius add-on component in the following categories:

SAP, BOE, or 3rd party product integrations - These components enable Xcelsius users to integrate their dashboards with SAP (CRM, BPC, NetWeaver BI, Web Dynpro, etc), Adobe ® Flash ® in SAP , SAP Business Objects or 3rd party products.

Visualization components - These components enable Xcelsius users to create visual representations of their data (e.g. Pie chart) or add special visual effects to their dashboards (e.g. Tab Set).

Feature extensions (Non-visual components) - These components enable Xcelsius users to add advance data manipulation and analysis features to their dashboards (e.g. Trend Analyzer).

Data connectors - These connectors  allow Xcelsius users to connect their dashboards to external data sources ( e.g. Web service data connector )

Outside the box - These components provide breakthrough data visualization & dashboarding capabilities.

Participants are only required to submit demonstrations (videos, animations, etc) of their solution – not the actual solution. Click here to learn more about the contest.

Happy FlexXcelsuising!
