I've been working on this now for awhile but I decided it was time to share it with all of you!

Many who know me, know that I enjoy writing so it was quite exciting to see my proposal for a new book picked up, the book will be about "Path to Recognition" and will be a "story" so to speak about the history of the SAP Developer Network, the introduction of the Business Process Expert Community and of course the merging of other communities like the Business Objects community over time. I will go into details about our various recogitiion programs, contribution system, contributors and of course our Tribute to the Top Contributors.

I share real stories about our evolution as well as "how" we built these awesome communities, as well as from personal experience which I realized (as I gather notes, stories, thoughts and ideas) covers 21 years of online communities dating back to the days of the BBS to present on "how" to build a community from the ground up.  I'll let some of the dirty laundry hang out and share some of the negatives and of course lots of the positives!

The book itself still has a working title and some things are still in flux but it's moving along nicely and working together with the SAP Press folks again has been nothing but enjoyable!

I've also decided I wanted to include some of you in the book as well - that is of course if you are interested. The following short screen cam covers the topic of adding "labels" to the wiki and of course describes what you need to do to give me the ability to include you 🙂
