Stop what you are doing. Put both of your hands flat on the table in front of you. Raise each hand slightly and let it fall back on the table again one after the other. Repeat -- faster and faster and louder and louder. Make some noise. You just created your own personal drum role for the unveiling of the new SAP Mentors.

Without further ado here they are in order of the most endorsements, many from fellow SAP Mentors:

srini.tanikella/blog  from SMART Modular Technologies. He manages SMART's Business applications group. SMART provides memory products and liquid-crystal display solutions to top-tier OEMs.

He is working in the USA actually in the Bay Area, which makes me hopeful that he will be able to participate at the Palo Alto Inside Track in April. His area of expertise is: B2b, web services, ABAP Integration Technologies, SAP - SD, ABAP, XI,BI and NetWeaver Portals

Praise from the community that endorsed him (excerpts):

Srini is the Chair of the B2B SIG.  He is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met on a wide range of SAP offerings.  He is already a mentor of many in real life.  Everyone looks to him for advice and he is always ready to offer his experience to others.  Very devoted to the SAP and ASUG cause. Srini Tanikella is widely recognized in the industry for his SAP skillset. He is a very active participant in ASUG & SDN forums.

Leonardo de Araujo leonardo.araujo/blog  from Beyond Technologies working in Canada.
Leonardo has almost 10 years of SAP experience. He started as a functional consultant in SD, LES and later became also a developer where he has worked with a wide range of functionalities from ALE, ABAP to Workflow from as early releases as 3.1H. Now he is working mainly on Retail projects. Has worked as an independent consultant with SAP Canada for the last 4 years.

Praise from the community that endorsed him (excerpt):

He is very community minded and an expert in many different SAP ERP modules, as well versed in ABAP.  He is a main developer of an open source ABAP project, "Abap Report Wizard".  He has contributed to all of the community days in the US to date. Very collaborative, got some cool projects. He flew to Berlin just to support the Community Day. He has everything that a SAP Mentor needs: Collaborative attitude, good communicator ... He presented the Community day session "Best practices in development of business classes in OO ABAP" in Las Vegas and he did a great job.

Currently, he is actively involved in managing SOA projects in SAP.

Praise from the community that endorsed him (excerpt):

Lots of implementation/development experience that he is sharing in the community via blog posts. He has great insights with one foot being a developer and the other squarely in the Business Process Experts camp.

shabarish.vijayakumar/blog  is working for Wipro in India. Profession - SAP XI consultant | Passion - Music, Travel and Friends | The Other side - A Poet | Wannabe - A Writer | **If not on SDN, you will find me - Playing computer games, Captivated by Music, Reading, Partying or else Sound asleep**

Praise from the community that endorsed him (excerpt):

I believe it's our (XI mentors) fault we forgot about Shabarish, as he should have been a mentor long time ago. He's not only a great contributor (have a look at his amazing blogs list), but also a person that always wanted to change SDN for it to be a better place.

Michael Koch independent Consultant from Great Britain.
Working in IT since 1990, our SAP Development Consultant Michael Koch has been involved in the SAP arena from 1997 onwards. German-born Michael worked on numerous national and multinational SAP projects. His main areas of expertise are custom SAP Development (ABAP and ABAP OO), SAP Web Development (ITS, BSP, WebDynpro for ABAP), Data Migration (using LSMW or any other method), Interfaces (ALE, IDOCS, XML or flat file) and SAP Authorizations.

Praise from the community that endorsed him (excerpt):

Michael has a passion for SAP beyond his "job". He maintains his own SAP-related web site so extends the SAP reach that way: http://www.pixelbase.co.uk/. Michael has strong opinions on SAP trends and technical direction but is always respectful and fair in his communications. In short, he is a kind and thoughtful and articulate person. He has been on more than ten customer projects and so has a lot of customer experience.

Martin Gillet Independent Consultant in Belgium

Martin Gillet has graduated with honors in Human Resources Management and is also a certified HR consultant (ECC 6.0 (my SAP ERP 2005), 4.70 (R/3 Enterprise) & 4.0), working as a freelance on international projects. Martin is also a dedicated SAP HR trainer for SAP Education.

Praise from the community that endorsed him (excerpt):

I have worked with Martin on a large scale implementation for Nokia in Finland and he would be a great SAP Mentor. His articles appear frequently in SAPInsider magazine and he is also giving lectures at SAP HR conferences - I think it would be great to make the SAP Mentor brand visible in those areas as well and I am sure that he can help with that.

I am very happy to welcome the new SAP Mentors, because every one of them brings a strong and diverse background to the group and will make the whole mentor initiative and with that the whole SCN Community stronger.

I am sad for all the other great candidates that didn't make the cut this time. Current economic realities let's us take cautious steps regarding expanding the initiative.

Don't fret, the plan is to select a new round of SAP Mentors even before Sapphire. Go ahead and suggest the next SAP Mentor.
