Yesterday, I attended a very interesting webinar on the SAP EcoHub. I had not heard much about it prior to this, so, I was glad to have the opportunity to learn about it and what it has to offer. We heard from the following 4 SAP Partners:
· Steve Adams from SABRIX
· Mushtaq Merchant from Task Performance Group
· Lionel Carrasco from Neoris
· Emmanuel Olivier from Esker SA
who told their reasons why they chose to list their solutions on the SAP EcoHub.
Being a curious person by nature, this led me to wonder what other solutions are out there. So I went to take a look http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/ecohub/home. You can filter the solutions by Industry or by Solution Type. If you already know what solution you are looking for, you can always enter it in the Search utility to find it quickly. From there you can read reviews of the solutions, rate the solution, you can view demo’s (this feature will be heavily used I’m sure), and get pricing information. And, yes, you can even use the site to purchase the product from the SAP Partner. Some other ways the information is organized is by solutions that have been recently added and most viewed.
I plan on using the EcoHub to look for the latest information from solutions we already have in place and to research new solutions. For the solutions we already have in place, I will be sending the relevant links to the appropriate team members so that they, too, can benefit from the information that is out on the SAP EcoHub. For new projects that surface, I will be sending the links to the relevant solutions to the interested team members to research, evaluate and potentially buy.
For SAP Partners, I see this site as providing a one-stop-shopping place for all of the SAP customers out there. And, there are a lot of SAP customers out there.
