Tiny ABAP Report to fire your Alloy Workflow

The Alloy Configuration Guide mentions the necessary reports that need to be executed regularly (as job), in order to identify new Workitems that are relevant for Alloy. Along with the Workflow Filter settings and the Workflow Pattern customizing, Alloy uses this mechanism to "listen" to new Workitems.

The mentioned reports that have to be executed are:

• RSWNSEL and
• S_OSP_WF_ITEM_SELECTION

They need to run every x minutes (with e.g. 5<x<15 minutes). Report RSWNSEL runs with variant OSP_DELTA (you may need to adjust the submit statement if you have chosen a different variant name).

In a development environment, when you are just setting up a new workflow, you may want to execute these reports immediately after you have initiated a new Workitem, in order to test the result. Here the tiny ABAP report comes into play, as it executes both reports with the right variant in one step.
