This video blog demonstrates the patching of the Java Support Package Manager (JSPM). Patching JSPM is often one of the first steps in performing support package or kernel patches to other system components.
The system used in the video was a Windows 2003 64-bit system with a quad core CPU and 4 gigabytes of RAM. The total time run to patch JSPM on the test system was just over 3 minutes. The actual runtime to patch JSPM in the video was approximately 90 seconds.
