The first teach of the new BPM Expert education for Associate is at this moment being executed at SAP in Tokyo. The education covers the 3 SAP BPM deliverables: BPM Governance, BPM Methodology and BPM Technology.
The first teach is being executed for both IBM and SAP consultants, who all have more than 10 years of SAP experience - which brings me to the first great observation: "the observation of what is the SAP background for a BPM Expert", which is a topic we have been heavily discussing - the participants in the class are a mix of application, technology and business consultants who demonstrate the same passion for BPM blending with SOA even though their backgrounds are very very different.
The first session "BPM100 BPM Methodology" was executed by Andreas Reichert, in which the IBM consultants got an overview of how SAP is running process optimization projects. In the 2 day training the consultants learned how to derive optimized business processes based on a structured process analysis. In a one day case study they got in touch with a real-life customer situation and could apply all methods and accelerators SAP uses in these types of projects.
I am now in the process of executing the BPM 300 Governance training, which is a 3 day course.
The BPM Expert Education for Associate is the first of three certification programs: BPM Expert for Associate, Professional and Master; all are based on SAP´s 3 BPM deliverables: BPM Governance, Methodology and Technology.
The BPM Expert for Professional will be available in January 2008.
