Hello everyone.  As you mak know, the DemoJam competition takes place every year during the SAP TechEd conference.  Last year I submitted my demo on Enterprise Widgets.  Widgets are mini-applications designed to improve user productivity by providing optimized user interfaces for very specific tasks.  Enterprise Widgets bring these advangages to SAP by enabling users to process transactions and extract data from the back end applications while maintaining security rules.  My session demonstrated simple and elegant methods of creating Entrprise Widgets using the opens ource Eclipse IDE and SAP's Widget Development Toolkit plug-in.  I was selected and had the chance to participate in Las Vegas and Munich as a Demo Jam finalist... and got to win the DemoJam in Munich!! Is that cool or what?

In Las Vegas, DemoJam winners Brian Yarnell of Interactive Edge and Thomas Ellenberg from SAP demoed Supporting Data-Driven Presentation Needs of Sales Force with XP3 and SAP Net Weaver.  Their session demonstrated how SAP NetWeaver Busines sIntelligence customers can empower larg, disributed sales force with data-driven presentations efficiently.  The crowd was able to see how a beverage/spirits manufacturer solved the challenge of presenting corporate data with flexible end-yuser tools to summarize and connected directly to SAP Netweaver BI.  This combined front-end analytics and automated presntation development with standard Microsoft Office output.

Well, the submission period for DemoJam is now open and I just wanted to let you know how great it was to be involved in DemoJam, and what a great exprience it was for me.  You get to be on stage in front of tons of people, your freinds, peers the SAP product development team.  The DemoJam team is fantastic, they really coach you on how to take on the stage, so don't worry about your stage fright.  Plus youget tons of feedback on your products, which is always very useful for future development.  So go ahead, take the jump and submit your demo.  You will not regret it.  I am looking forward to hearing from this year's contestants, and t meet you all at the SAP TechEd 2008.
