The Important Session You May Have Overlooked

It's late, a Friday evening and traditionally the least desirable hour to post a blog as readership levels slump and folks, hopefully and blissfully, go offline for a few hours/days of weekend respite.

But I just got a look at a blog by the CEO of Momentum SI and it struck me.  Do we really undervalue or under-recognize some of our own offerings and capabilities?

Of SOA Jeff Schneider wrote:

"I felt like SAP really got it. Unfortunately, I felt like most of the people at the conference didn't. The gap between vendor and customer has grown significantly. Many of the SAP customers have avoided technology topics, favoring black box implementations of large monolithic applications. SAP is introducing a fundamental change that will take time to sink in. They are doing a great job of evangelizing and providing community guidance but this is a huge leap for many of the 'ABAP' programmers of today."

While I'm not sure I fully agree with how many folks "get it", it reminded me that sometimes we have to do a bit of work to illuminate subtle great things.  One of those things showcased at TechEd in Las Vegas was a new tool from SAP called: CTTS Modeler Warp 10.

A New Look at Data Mapping

For those that attended the Demo Jam it was pretty amazing to see a tool that could support you by speeding up creation of your enterprise service interfaces and B2B mappings by up to 20 times.  Not trusting my own sensibilities about how exciting this was, I lassoed in two savvy customers to see a private demo of the amazing CTTS Modeler Warp 10 and one came back to report to me that the time spent in the clubhouse was worth the entire trip to Las Vegas...from the land of OZ (Australia that is).  Obviously, if you have the patience to download and listen to this large audio file you are in for a treat!

CTTS Modeler Warp 10 in Action

gunther.stuhec/blog, who together with mark.crawford/blog will be demoing this collaborative tool again in Munich at the  Business Process Expert Knowledge Table in the Community Clubhouse asks:

  • Do you have any issues with data integration or establishing eBusiness with your business partners?
  • Do you think that data integration or establishing eBusiness is time consuming and the value add is insufficient?
  • We would like to show you, how you can do data integration and establishing eBusiness in a much more efficient way.

If you're interested, please come to our BPX roundtable in the Community Clubhouse on Thursday at 17:00 (5pm) October 18thIt will be very instructive to get additional responses to this tool and its capabilitities.  You might also decide that a trip to the knowledge table was "worth the price of admission" as did our Las Vegas attendee.

Says Gunther: "We're glad to show you the new revolution of integration and B2B."
