Can't believe that TechEd  Las Vegas '07 is a week behind us and Munich is but a few days ahead.

In keeping with the spirit of summarizing the "week that was", I'd like to create a short series of blogs with podcast attachments for your listening pleasure. (warning these files are very large so you might want to save them by going to "download media" on the upper right side of this blog page)

We were able to get really good quality recordings from some very interesting sessions that were hosted in the Community Clubhouse.

I'll start with the Geek and Suit Shootout.  The scenario went something like this, in the words of Minda Zetlin, who together with husband, Bill Pfleging, authored "The Geek Gap":

"In our research, we have come across dozens of real-life scenarios where business and technology interests led to conflicting solutions to the same business problem. (One quick example: A startup Internet-based company hired someone for a leadership position who was a respected subject-matter expert but had trouble learning to use the technology the company depended on. The result was missed deadlines and other problems. The technical staff wanted him out! However, his presence was what gave investors the confidence to back the startup in the first place. How do you resolve this situation?)

Audience members were given "cheat sheets" with information about their character in the drama and what he or she needed to accomplish. Then they played their roles, debating the issue for the audience. After a few minutes of debate, audience members were invited to propose solutions to the problem."
