Are you offering a complementary planning or scheduling solution which you'd like to integrate with SAP for Healthcare?
Then you may be a good candidate for our new Community Definition Group (CDG), which kicked off on the 4th and 5th of July, 2007 on the topic of Resource Planning & Scheduling. After the successful pilot last year and the CDG for the ES Bundle "Patient Administration" in spring, this is already the third working group in Healthcare.
This time a very diverse group of large university hospitals, mid size hospitals, service providers as well as partners and ISV's jointly discussed and documented example Use Cases in the following areas:
- Planning of Medical Activities (4 Use Cases)
- Bed planning (5 Use Cases)
- Appointment planning (2 Use Cases)
- Workforce planning (3 Use Cases)
Along with the collection of Use Cases the CDG came up with a proposal for a better classification of the different scenarios. For example, each Use Case was assigned to a particular planning level, ranging from strategic planning to operational scheduling. This structured documentation will be key to the subsequent step of deriving high level Service Requests from the Use Cases.
The group viewed this kick-off workshop of the CDG as a first step into the necessary detailed work. The group agreed to continue the work after the summer break and would welcome further members to join!
