When you meet someone for the first time, I'm sure most of you have heard that "it is good to put a face with a name." That was certainly a benefit of being so privileged to hang out in the SDN clubhouse during two TechEd events this year. We got to meet a lot of people that we have had contact with on SDN over the years. Now that we have met some of you guys, we would like to take the next step and "put a place with the face" by asking you to show off your work area; the place where all the magic happens; the place where you spend most of your waking day.

Here at Colgate, I work in an open area with a small group of developers (Dan McWeeney, Ryan Quackenboss, and Phil Young) that focus on designing application solutions and implementing new technologies. Yes, the title of this blog is a little misleading because we actually hate cubicles. We hated them so much that we begged our management to find us an open area to sit in where we could collaborate and have access to multiple white boards. As you can see below, the powers that be smiled upon us.

And last but not least, I want to show off one of our most prized areas. This is our SDN wall of fame. We have each one of the points milestone shirts (the ones that we have at least) on a wall. When someone reaches that milestone, they get to put their name on the shirt. Take notice of the ghetto "Hello my name is" tags. 🙂 This wall has been stirring a lot of interest with other Colgate developers to start participating on SDN so they too can become an SDN-crazy.

Feel free to visit the link to the above photos on Flickr and add notes and/or comments.

OK, so now it's your turn to show us where you work. Do you heart your cubicle? Maybe others will be inspired by it.
