I have been blogging about Mobile Application Studio and have been throwing technical jargon after technical jargon at innocent people!!! Each time I finish writing a blog, a new topic pops up in my mind and I begin to wonder "Should I have written about it?" Taking a detour from all the technical talk, I thought of blogging about my personal experience at SDN Day, Amsterdam for a change. What a day it was!!!

The day started (just like any other day!!!) with breakfast. The welcome speech given by Mark gave an insight into the plan for the day and his motivations for having such a format. And then it was time for speed interaction (in true speed dating style). I met some SDNers who were interested in the Mobile Application for Laptop (the application I work on). Some of the interactions really helped me to understand what the industry expects when I say "Mobile Application". This laid the foundation for the session which I was to give in the afternoon.

The afternoon was full of BOAF sessions (I was wondering what BOAF meant till I found that it meant Birds Of A Feather). My session was about "Mobile Applications for Laptops". The attendance was pretty good and the interest level was also high. The sessions came to an end with the short speech by Shai Agassi.

The fun part of the day was at Boom Chicago. After the dinner, the comedy show "Me, MySpace and IPod" had us in splits. We also had a sneak preview into Craig's MySpace profile!!! And the way the guys ended the show was amazing to say the least.

It was my firt visit to Amsterdam and I enjoyed my brief stay there. And the stay was made better by the 15 odd hours I spent at SDN Day. I couldn't have asked for more. I am looking forward to my next SDN Day.

If you are attending SAP TechEd at Bangalore, I will be doing a 2 hour lecture session there (check out here and here). Hope to see you there.
