I was gone last week and I don't think anyone out here on SDN land was missing me. That's how it should be. You are in good hands with the rest of the SDN Team. I painted the baby's room in time for the first of May release date and no we don't want early delivery 🙂

Painting is really meditative and not only because you breath in all these nice fumes 🙂 It is so different from typing on a keyboard most of the day. You really have some time to think. I almost sound like Tom Sawyer, but no I don't want to trick you into painting over what I have done already. It is just fine as it is.

I want to post  more here on SDN, show you that you are heard and give you additional opportunity to influence where SDN and SAP is going.

Remember your aka SDN Community's top request from last year:

Speak Your Voice; New ABAP Editor for Older Releases. It was an amazing community effort. thomas.jung/blog rallied the troops with New ABAP Editor; too good to wait for.Speak Your Voice; New ABAP Editor for Older Releases and the Back-porting the New ABAP Editor to older WebAS Releases with 220 replies was created.

Even though I was on vacation, I finally was able to  connect the people, the budget and everything in between. So I am very glad to announce, that end of March Mr. SDN thomas.jung/blog will travel to Walldorf and work together with developers there to back-port the ABAP editor as well as the Debugger.

I can hardly wait to hear/read his stories (on SDN?). Hope to see a pictures with him and on it    Brian McKellar. Although they wrote the Advanced BSP programming book  together, they have never been in the same room or even continent. I think it is worth for another unofficial SDN Meet somewhere in Walldorf while Thomas is visiting. I will not be able to join, but I will be there in spirit.

Here is a sign that although it took us a while, we are listening and you as SDNers can influence not only SDN, but also SAP in important ways. I really like this and there will be more opportunities soon, so stay tuned.
