Who's idea was it to end the contest on Friday at midnight? Yes I know, we wanted to make sure that you don't work through the weekend, but what I didn't think of is that then it is me that has to check what's going on and ruin my Friday night 🙂

But I am really happy. Who would have thought that an SDN Member would amass over 2000 points in this short amount of time. Congratulations to you Thomas Jung. Well deserved first place with a decisive lead of over 500 points.

For a while it looked like Craig Cmehil was close on your heels, but then he had to go on vacation 🙂 Still very impressive

One thing I think is the sensation of the contest, that of the top 10 the first 7 are non-SAP SDN Members, and not one of us SAP snoozers cracked the 1000 mark. To be honest, Brian McKellar would be up there, if he didn't give away points and insisted on only receiving 40 points per Weblog.

One more thing is amazing, that Stefan Klensch is number 5. Without writing one Weblog or Article or Code sample, at least that I know of since the competition started, therefore just from his solid answering of forum questions to jump over 1000 points is just great. Everyone who has answered questions knows that on a good day you get points for one out of 5 answers.

Thanks to everyone who participated and remember, this is fun, but just the icing on the cake of knowledge transfer and community that is happening more and more on SDN.

Over and off to bed 🙂

P.S. Two small announcemnts. This is the unofficial result, I hope that nothing changes, but I want to give you the chance to check your contributions to see if we counted them all. The official official results will be announced at the SAP TechEds.

We did a little bait and switch. First prize is not the HP iPAQ phone, because of it's limited availability. So far it's US only and only on T-Mobile. We switched it to a 21 inch flat panel LCD display. It was pretty obvious that Thomas would win, so I called him up and asked him and he was really happy. I hope Brian's 😄 The Joker Challenge winner will be too.
