SAP Mobile Start is the new native entry point to the Intelligent Enterprise. We are continuing to roll out further mobile personas to demonstrate how different end-users can benefit from SAP´s new mobile experience. Let us talk about the auditor today.

The Auditor as a Mobile Persona

The main responsibilities of an auditor are to prepare audits, implement audit procedures, track audit findings, and define follow-up actions as well as the overall creation of audit reports. Auditing requires access to several different kinds of information and includes talking to many stakeholders and contacts at the auditee. Recording the obtained information, documenting them accordingly and bringing all information sources to a solid and useful result is the main task of the auditor.

Audits follow a well-planned procedure consisting of different audit procedures and action plans. For the auditor, it is eminent to have real-time access to all information that are needed to conduct the audit, being able to closely collaborate with both colleagues from the auditing team and from auditees. Furthermore, being reminded of upcoming milestones and keeping an overview on the timeline and the next steps is very important for the auditor.

An auditor is a mobile person by nature. Travelling to the auditees, meeting with colleagues in meeting rooms to discuss findings and working on audit tasks while commuting to or from work are integral parts of the daily journey of an auditor. Therefore, a mobile app that supports the auditor during the day is a perfect complement to the user´s devices in order to ensure that the auditor can react on business challenges anytime and anywhere.

Introducing SAP Mobile Start

SAP Mobile Start is the new native entry point to the Intelligent Enterprise on mobile devices. It provides users with an enhanced mobile access to SAP applications, web content, data, and news feeds to quickly address their daily work – anywhere and anytime.

Users can benefit from persona-tailored content, which will be easy to consume and optimized for mobile situations. SAP Mobile Start can be set up and configured to user needs by IT administrators. It allows users to stay up to date on mobile devices and act immediately on critical business situations. The app offers integration with business applications, enabling higher productivity, and is a key asset to help ensure business continuity directly from mobile devices.

Furthermore, SAP Mobile Start offers a deep integration with native mobile device capabilities such as widgets, notifications or spotlight search.

Integration of SAP Task Center

With Task Center integration in SAP Mobile Start the user will have access to all workflow tasks in one screen. Tasks can be processed with just one click and now the user no longer needs to install numerous inboxes from various applications. This will reduce the time spent by approvers and improve the approval time for critical items. By providing a dedicated screen to access the tasks and notifications, the user has one place to easily process all their “to-do”s.

My colleague Ivan Chaushev describes all details regarding SAP Task Center in his blog post.

Improving the Mobile Experience for Auditors

SAP Mobile Start as the native entry point to SAP gives the auditor the possibility to access all relevant mobile applications quickly. Approving audit preparations, looking up historical action plans or accessing the overview of ongoing audits right from your mobile device – this any many more is now possible within a modern and user-friendly native app. Even administrative tasks like the time recording can be done quickly while travelling or commuting. SAP Mobile Start comes with built-in native features like notifications and widgets which ensure that the auditor will never miss any important business update.

With SAP Task Center fully integrated into SAP Mobile Start, the auditor also stays up-to date on workflows and approvals related to the audit.

SAP Mobile Start is available both on smartphones and tablets, which ensures that the auditor will have the access to all information in exactly the format which is required.
