Native mobile applications from SAP SuccessFactors provide engaging, high-performing, and differentiating experiences that are ideal for power mobile HR users.

These applications provide:

  • Pure mobile experiences.
  • Mobile-only features.
  • Integration with on-device productivity tools – e.g. triggering emails, calls, or SMS from an employee profile, or looking up calendar attendees and their organizational information, all from within the app.
  • Using the mobile device’s extra input methods and expanding users’ options to engage with the app through the camera for uploading profile photos, turning on the microphone for capturing topics, and enabling touch ID feature for simple sign on.
  • Offline availability makes features and contents available even when users have no connectivity.

SAP SuccessFactors has released several new features and improvements for iOS and Android native mobile applications in Q2 2016. The recent developments include:

Grant Off-Cycle Reward (iPhone) – Spot Awards

Managers using SAP SuccessFactors Compensation can now recognize employee contribution or performance by using the app to grant spot awards from their iPhones.

Off Cycle Rewards are not part of regular compensation planning.

New Employee Self-Service – Flexible Time-Off Request

The “clock time” based Time Off is an additional enhancement of our current “duration” based Time Off functionality. Now hourly employees (employees on the clock-time base) can request time off using the iPhone or iPad apps with starting time and end time specified. Managers can approve clock time based time off requests through their approvals tile on their phone as well.

Touch ID Support (iOS)

Now, iOS mobile applications provide greater simplicity with support for Apple Touch ID fingerprint recognition. It serves users with simple, convenient, and secure access. Admins can configure the permission to Touch ID users on Mobile Admin UI on the SAP SuccessFactors Web console.

QR Code Simple Activation (iOS and Android)

The activation process is now simplified by using the QR codes. Users can simply scan the QR code with the device camera and immediately start to experience the SAP SuccessFactors application without going through any complex processes or using long activation codes.

Manager Team Summary (iOS and Android)

Managers will greatly benefit from several new manager self-services in the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile solution, available for both the Android and iOS platforms. A “new manager team view” provides a quick overview of direct reports and enables managers to take quick actions, such as placing a phone call or sending a text message. Plus, newly appointed managers can access a dedicated team summary placed prominently on the home page of the app during their first 30 days in management with one quick and simple click to find out about their direct reports.

Manager Team Lens (iOS and Android)

Manager’s Team Lens makes it easy for all managers to access team summary information from the pull-down menu in the team view page to learn more about their direct reports’ locations, competency gaps, performance potential, and more.

Supporting People Profile V3 on iPad

People Profile V3 is now supported on iPad, and iPad users can now have a better experience by accessing the data and information faster than ever. With the new performance improvements within the Personal Profile v3 employee profile loads data and information quicker than the past.

Multiple Profiles – Android

Now the Android users are supported with multiple profiles on a shared device. Users can easily share a device and still have secure and simple access to their personal profile, data, and information.

  • Enable multiple profiles on the same device to share securely.
  • Quickly access separate SAP SuccessFactors instances.
  • Swiftly switch profiles to access test and production environments.
