Hi All,

In my previous blog Installation of SAP on  RAC with Oracle ASM i have discuss  about the RAC in general.

We have install a PO system in the landscape to migrate the existing PI system communication channel and other functionality to PO system.

In Distributed Environment , we have to install the SCS first.

Message server is the only first component in SAP , which connect to the database first. Many says its the work process in ABAP and bootstrap service in java.

The above is true only after the installation but during the installation , Message Server connect to the database first.

Users UID and Group GID

We need to have the same user UID and GID both on the Database and Application server.

You need to check the UID and GID from the files /etc/passwd and /etc/group

Installation of Central Service

Expand the below Tab SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP Netweaver 7.3-->oracle-->Process Orchestration-->Distributed System-->SCS instance

We have to select the option typical or Custom as per the requirement.

In this step we have to enter the SID of the SAP system and /sapmnt directory which will be mounted on the Database server.

Enter the DVD kernel

We have provide the Master password

We have to enter the Instance number of the SCS instance and ERS

Now the SCS has been installed on the system.

After the installation of SCS , we have to install the Database instance on the RAC.

Kindly check the below blogs
