Background:
The European Schools are controlled jointly by the 28 European Union member states and institutions. Since 1953, they have provided broad, high-quality education from nursery school through university, keeping puplis connected to their native language in a multilingual, multicultural environment. Today, there are 14 European Schools in seven different countries with roughly 25,000 students.
To ensure all school operations are aligned, the organization needed to replace a custom IT system that was more than 20 years old.
Using the SAP ERP Foundation rapid-deployment solution, European Schools deployed SAP ERP powered by SAP Hana and the SAP Simple Finance solution. The first organization to launch SAP Simple Finance using the SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud service, European Schools are streamlining processes for greater accountability – helping better serve students.
