Since the transition of the SuccessFactors Certification and Enablement program into SAP Education began in September there have been a host of questions around the transition and the way forward for Cloud Certification. A December webinar for Cloud Partners helped to explain how SAP Education is changing the Global Certification Program in Q1/2015 to better fit the needs of the Cloud world and answers some of the questions being posed around the transition of the program.

In a world where current knowledge and skills in the ecosystem are more important for SAP, our partners and our customers than ever before, SAP Education will be launching the new Certification in the Cloud Program in March 2015 which has been developed together with the Certification and Enablement Influence Council. The program will make it simpler and more affordable for Cloud Consultants around the world to keep their knowledge and skills up to date in pace with the rapidly changing technology in our Cloud solution portfolio – and to validate that competence with a “Certified” stamp of approval from SAP.

Using all the advantages of Cloud solutions in the new concept this will enable all those involved in SAP Cloud solution project to get validation of the most current knowledge and skills they need for successful customer projects - in the timeframes needed, with an affordable model and minimizing the time away from projects. There will be a 12 month subscription available which will cover up to six exam attempts. Once you have your subscription set up you can schedule a remote proctor as little as an hour in advance of your desired exam time. The remote proctor will check your ID, check that the location is suitable for an uninterrupted exam experience and then give you access to the exam. The exam is delivered via a secure browser on your own PC or laptop so that there is no access to printers, Internet, etc. outside the exam application whilst you are taking the exam. During the exam you are linked to the remote proctor via a chat window and he/she will alert you if there are issues (phone ringing, someone enters the room, etc.) and give guidance on what action to take in order to be allowed to continue your exam. This makes it much easier to keep up to date with your certification – without losing valuable project time.

Once you have your Associate certification completed you will receive regular notifications via SAP Credential Manager on when  Delta exams are available, how long you have to take them in order to remain certified. SAP Credential Manager also offers you a host of additional benefits and self-serve scenarios to help you organize your SAP Certification Progress.

What happens during the transition time for SuccessFactors Partners?

The new Certification in the Cloud Program will go live in March, 2015 but in the meantime SuccessFactors partners had a multitude of questions around what happens if they are already certified and how do they enter the new program or continue their training and certification during the transition period.

I hope this blog and recording will help to answer many of the questions around this topic but please follow it for the latest developments in this exciting program as it evolves. We have been gathering your feedback and questions and will be posting those with the responses regularly on this blog so don’t forget to ensure you get notified.

As promised here are more details around which exams be available when we go live with this program in March.

Please do not hesitate to get back to us with questions and feedback in the meantime.

Below is the InsideSAP article on the topic.

Thanks

Sue
