Five sessions are focused on the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and data governance, the first being, Using Intelligent Technology to Secure Green Energy Investment and Combat Climate Change. In this session the CEO and founder of Kaiserwetter Energy, Hanno Schoklitsch, discusses how Kaiserwetter leveraged SAP Data Intelligence Cloud to create their solution, Aristoteles. Hanno goes into depth about how Aristoteles helps them innovate to combat climate change and invest in the future of green energy.
The next session, Supply Chain Data Governance Strategy at Corning, gives you the opportunity to hear from Mustafa Dadawalla, global data governance manager at Corning Incorporated. Mustafa walks through Corning’s journey implementing a data governance strategy and the key ways they are using SAP Information Steward and SAP Data Services for data governance business rules. He also gives recommendations on how to get started with data governance, as well as how to introduce it to an executive sponsor.
Mirjam Heijnen-Keultjes, head of group master data management at Döhler, joined us for a session on, One Data Management at Döhler. During this session Mirjam talks about Döhler’s implementation of their master data governance program and how their desire to be a digital leader in the natural food and beverages industry helped them gain support from their board. Mirjam also addresses how they use SAP Master Data Governance data quality management capabilities to improve their data processes and increase insight into their master data quality across the organization.
Two SAP data quality experts, Sue Waite, senior director platform and data management Center of Excellence (CoE) at SAP, and David Steinbruck, senior director enterprise architect CoE at SAP, joined us for our session, All Good? Understand the Truth with a Data Quality Assessment. Sue and David discuss the benefits of a data quality assessment and how many organizations may be surprised with their results. They also emphasize the value of building a solid data strategy and provide resources to help you get started building yours.
Our last CDO and data governance centered session is, Data Quality and Migration: How to Prepare the Move to S/4HANA. In this session Sheila McCarthy, solution manager and data strategist at SAP, walks through the process of moving to SAP S/4HANA and what you need set up prior to cleansing your data for the migration. Sheila also addresses the first steps you should take if you don’t have a data migration strategy, along with what solutions are needed for the migration to help ensure the best results.
