The Location: Second visit to Las Vegas and first time for SAP TechEd && d-code. Last time stayed in Luxor (Pyramid theme) and wish I stayed in Venetian. This time I will be staying there. Even though the Venetian is not a new hotel, it still feels somewhat newish and has been well-maintained. It has a timeless appearance and exudes elegance. And it does feel a bit like being in Italy with the shops and canal

Your Plan: There are plenty of sessions I want to attend, so I have narrowed down the top 25 sessions that I plan to attend.  There are lectures / Hands on session / Product Road Map Q&A / Networking Session. I have already saved my sessions as favorites under My Agenda, I've balanced my favorite sessions better, by removing the sessions that were similar to sessions I attended last year.  I picked them based on things that I can learn that will help me in my job, either because it impacts my day to day work, or because it helps me understand what other people are talking about so I can have meaningful discussions regarding their options and the risks involved.  My main focus will be on the ITM sessions with a focus on Testing, Change and Release Management, I’m also hoping to learn more about HANA, Fiori, Personas, etc.  I'm most excited to attend hands on session with Marcus Wefers and Rajeev Gollupudi on Adjust and Test Only What Matters with New Scope and Effort Analyzer and Change Impact Analysis and Test Scope Optimization with BPCA.

What you’re looking forward to the most:  Hands on Sessions & Networking sessions. Hands-on and learning by experience are powerful ideas, and we know that engaging participants actively and thoughtfully in their practical sessions pays off in better learning and  the information has a better chance of being stored in the memory for useful retrieval.  Networking is the art of forming and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with others who are linked to your career, sector or specific interest. Successful networking can help you to raise your profile, meet new customers, develop your knowledge or skills, and explore new ideas.

Advice for first timers (optional):  Make full use of all the important sessions that you would like to attend. Bring all the required items for taking notes. Be on time for all the sessions you are planning to attend. Try to attend maximum hands on sessions (related to your area of interest) where you can learn and improve your skills. Visit all the exhibitors to learn more about their products and services.
