General Availability of three critical Syclo applications on SMP 3.0 was announced last week of June 2014(Q2) : SAP Work Manager 6.1, SAP Inventory Manager 4.0, and SAP CRM Service Manager 4.1. This blog is for highlighting the new features of the applications in the SMP 3.0 with Open UI framework, integration with GIS, Visual Enterprise, MRS Integration etc.
SAP Work Manager 6.1
Work Manager extends the SAP ERP functionality such as Work Order Management, Notification Functionality,Time tracking to mobile devices.
In addition to features such as Linear Asset Management, Attachment Support,Inspection Rounds, integration with Multi Resource Scheduling ,SSO Support the WM 6.1 solution in SMP 3.0 delivers:
- GIS Integration (Open UI Framework - Integration with 3rd party applications)
- SAP 3D Visual Enterprise (Open UI Framework)
- UX Enhancements ( UI simplification)
- ERP Customer Service
- Crew Management
Work Manager 6.1 is delivered with a GIS integration framework. It is delivered out-of-the-box with pre-defined mobile parameters that are Esri-specific, but you have the ability to configure and point to any GIS vendor you choose.
On the client side, the GIS client must be built to work with the selected GIS database. The GIS software development kit (SDK) provides you with this functionality for building iOS, Android, WPF(Windows) clients.
The SAP 3D Visual Enterprise (VE) applications Software Development Kit (SDK) supports the incorporation of interactive 3D viewing on Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
SAP Inventory Manager 4.0
Inventory Manager automates manual, paper-based inventory operations such as performing cycle counts as well as receive, transfer, issue and adjust materials.
Manage parts in stockrooms, warehouses, and vehicles.Reduce inventory carrying costs and ensure parts availability for repairs.
Speed receipt and back-order reporting between shipping and receiving.

- View customer data, equipment, install base listings, entitlements, contracts & history
