Steps to create connection between SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud(BTP)
Business Need:
Sometimes there will be a need to connect to SAP HANA cloud and extract high volume data from remote Database.
Below we see steps that are required to create a connection between SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud(BTP)
Highlights:
Connect to SAP HANA Cloud (BTP) from SAP Datasphere
create a connection successfully!
Steps:
2.Select Create option from Menu.
4.Provide
a) Port No: 443
b) Host: We get Host information SAP HANA Database Explorer
5.Please provide SAP HANA Coud DB instance credentials (DBADMIN / Instance Name)
8.Final step to see the remote SAP HANA Cloud DB objects from SAP Datasphere
Conclusion:
Following the above steps, we can establish a local connection and extract underlying tables and business data available on SAP HANA cloud.

Nice blog!! Suresh. This is the Data Virtualization feature. Connecting to a data source and virtually accessing the objects without having to ingest the data.
It would be great if you can add another connection to any other DB like Oracle or Azure Sql, or even a .xls and show federation..
I would love to see a second blog showing multiple connections and blending/federating data.
This is a powerful feature we have been waiting since Business Objects Universe era. I'm glad to see this finally in DataSphere. SAP customers will get immensely benefited from this virtualization feature.

Nice information, does it ask for any ssl certificate for the validation of the connection. If yes where to install the certificate.
