EWM Incidents and Support

Being part of the Customer Success Team for Logistics at SAP, we are trying to resolve customer challenges as quickly as possible.

Over the past 2 months, we’ve analyzed all incidents logged by customers and partners on challenges experienced during Warehouse Management implementations. Some of the frequent incidents logged are related to ERP/EWM integration, stock inconsistencies, EWM/TM integration, data inconsistencies, deleted queues, etc.

Below are the top SAP notes/KBA’s recommended for common incidents logged related to SAP Extended Warehouse Management

Integration
2375304 Deleted queues from SMQ2
3198881 Document flow inconsistencies in EWM outbound delivery orders
1780263 No posting from EWM due to closed posting period
2681550 How to stop the queue (qRFC) for analysis

Having worked in SAP EWM support, I’ve experienced the impact of a user deleting queues and the effort to restore them. A great way to prevent users from deleting queues, is to limit authorization, use note 2837536.

Stock Check
2557754 How to execute /SCWM/ERP_STOCKCHECK
3157198 Implement important Notes for Stock Inconsistencies using Note Analyzer
2496435 Status inconsistency: update from EWM is not happening in ECC
3232044 Implement Notes for Stock Inconsistencies on Available Quantity using Note Analyzer

Dealing with decimals

Physical Inventory

Short Dumps
2669788 Short dump in /SCWM/CL_IM_DLV_SN_CONF->/SCDL/IF_EX_MP_SRV_IN_SAP~BEFORE_DATA_PROCESSING
2737164 Replace short dump with error message in /SCWM/CL_IM_DLV_SN_CONF->/SCDL/IF_EX_MP_SRV_IN_SAP~BEFORE_DATA_PROCESS

Before logging an incident, a note/KBA may be available to resolve your problem and save you time for other deliverables.

      Hi

Note 2519473 is an internal only note, I've removed it from the blog.

It does not provide anything new. "Do not delete SMQ2 Queues if you do not know what are you doing"

That is true Daniil, however, some users are still new to SAP EWM, they might read this note before deleting a queue.
