Work Item card and Work Item distribution Card

Introduction

This blog is part of the blogs series for the new “New Solution Readiness Dashboard” delivered as part of Focused Build SP12 delivery. This blog focuses on the below two cards: 

• Work Item Card 
• Work Item Distribution Card

Both the cards that are explained below provides all the common features explained in blog Requirement card 

Work Item card 

This card provides an overview of the work items in different statuses for the selected project.  Based on the filter selection, the card shows only relevant work items. 

Work Item Card

The chart legends show the list of all the status groups that are available as part of status group customizing. For more details on customizing refer this blog  

Detail Page for Work Item card 

By Default, the detail page shows the work item count as the measure and the status of the work item as the Dimension. The default chart type is Stacked Bar chart. This can be changed as per the need.

The filters from the overview page are carried forward to the detail pages. Additionally further filtering can be done with other filters provided specific to the detail page. 

Work Item Distribution card 

This card shows the work Items based in different dimensions, namely project, multi-level categorization, waves and by Sprints. 

By default, the card shows the project view but if a user changes to any other options from the drop down it is persisted for the user when revisiting the application.  

By Project   

This view shows all work items in different project

This view shows the list of all work items linked to various categories.

By Wave

In this view you can further narrow down and see the work items at different waves.

By Sprint

In this view , based on the sprint mapped to the work items it categories into different bars as shown below.

Detail Page for Work Item distribution card

On clicking the header selection of the card, it navigates to the details page built based on Fiori Application List Page. By default, it shows the graph as a Stacked column chart with Work item count as measure and project and status as dimensions. If we want to change this to any other chart, we can do it from setting similar to Work item card. Also, if we want to analyze this based on a new dimension, it is possible using the view by options in the chart view.

We also have some additional filters to narrow down the analysis, which applies to the chart and the table. 

Both the details pages are built based on SAP Fiori Application List Page providing many features like Variant management, save as tile, changing the dimensions and measures, different chart types to select etc. Also, these cards allow us to navigate to MCA (Mass Change Application) and the My Work Items Application
