SAP’s position as a Visionary confirmed, 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for RPA

Gartner recently released the 2023 Magic Quadrant for Robotic Process Automation report and SAP is recognized as a Visionary. SAP was recognized as a Visionary in the same report in 2022 as well.

SAP’s priority is to provide the best process automation solution for SAP application customers as part of an integrated low-code solution, SAP Build. For example, entitlement to SAP Build included with RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP offerings, allow S/4HANA Cloud customers to start automating tasks and processes right away. At the same time, hundreds of pre-built automation projects tailored for SAP and non-SAP applications are readily available through the SAP Build Content Catalog to kick-start a wide variety of projects.

Thanks Harald for pointing out the Gartner MQ about RPA.

In addition to the well described Roadmap, do you have any clue about upcoming feature that will help Gartner Group to even better evaluate SBPA and position it not only as Visionary but also as a  Leader in the 2024 ?

      Any comment about the following?

      Hi Sergio,

SAP is working very closely with Gartner to both shape the market going forward and keep them abreast of SAP product development. Gartner will have to broaden the scope from "niche" robotic automation to a more comprehensive understanding of process automation challenges and solutions going forward, while avoiding the pitfalls of BPM in the past, which tried to produce a one-size-fits-all model. I personally expect this to significantly broaden the current RPA evaluation in 2024, giving SAP a better shot at a leadership position with all the assets that can be brought to bear, like SAP Signavio, SAP Build and SAP Integration Suite.

      Best, Harald
