Role Based Project Release Workflow for EPPM Project

Hello Colleagues,

In this blog, I would like to show the Setup and Demo for “Role Based Project Release Workflow” for EPPM Project in S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.

Setup :

In this Step we need to setup the workflow via Application :Manage Workflows for Enterprise Project

Lets Create the Workflow with Level-1 and Level-2 Approval as Project Manager and Steering Committee Member respectively.

Header Information –

Start Condition –  Lets take condition based on specific Project Type

 

Steps –

Step1 for Project Manager Role

Step2 for Steering Committee Member

 

Save and Activate the Workflow –

Demo Steps:

1. Create Enterprise Project

2. Maintain Project

3. Change the Status to RELEASE

4. Level-1 Approval as Project Manager

5. Check the Project and Workflow Status

6. Level-2 Approval as Steering committee Member

7. Check the Project and Workflow Status

Demo :

1. Create Enterprise Project

Lets Create Enterprise Project as below with Project Type as per Workflow Step and assign Project Manager.

2. Maintain Project via Project Brief

Lets maintain Steering Committee Member under responsibility Tab via Project Brief Application along with other details..

 

 

3. Change the Status to RELEASE

As soon as status changes to RELEASE, Workflow will be triggered to Project Manager First and then Steering Committee Member

 

 

4. Level-1 Approval as Project Manager

Open the My Inbox and Approved the Task with comment/note(optional)

5. Check the Project and Workflow Status

6. Level-2 Approval as Steering Committee Member

Open the My Inbox and Approved the Task with Comment/Note (optional) after checking Any information ( Notes from L1 approval, Attachment as a optional step)

 

7. Check the Project and Workflow Status

 

Summary

By using above Out-of the Box  Function, we are able to trigger Project Release Workflow.
