Onboarding for SAP EWM and SAP TM
Logistics Onboarding
As the world focuses on cloud, there is a keen interest in customers moving to cloud from an On-Premise environment. Gone are the days of picking up a CD loaded with software and a basis team to set up the server. With the shift to Cloud, comes a new way of “Getting Started”. In this blog, I’ll cover the journey with SAP for a seamless onboarding experience.
SAP has created an onboarding center for –
- SAP Extended Warehouse Management for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, extra stack
- SAP Transportation Management for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, extra stack
The onboarding center is designed to be a “hand-holding” experience for customers from provisioning to go-live. The Onboarding Journey ensures a consistent experience as customers move from contract signature to start of the implementation. Customers receive guidance, enablement and services focused on developing their internal experts, delivering successful implementations and achieving key business goals
There is a 5 touch point process to guide customers on their journey to cloud
- Welcome
- Project Readiness
- Guidance & Enablement
- Project Progress
- Go-Live Preparation
e.g. Touchpoint – Welcome, consists of the following keys to success.
- Join Onboarding Webinars
- Access Your System
- Explore the SAP Solution Journey

Getting Started
- Create Support User (S-User ID) to access your company-specific information.
- Create an SAP Universal ID which provides a unified account across SAP sites.
- Access SAP for Me portal – Follow the instructions for Initial Access & User Setup.
- Complete a one-time registration of your S-user ID with SAP Learning Hub, edition to access SAP Enterprise Support.
