In 23.05 Release, SAP Digital Manufacturing introduced Clock In/Out and Labor On/Off plugins support in Order POD, enabling Time Tracking capability for Process Industries.

In this blog post, I will show you a short demo and in detail how to Configure and Use SAP Digital Manufacturing Time Tracking capabilities in Order POD.

Don’t miss my previous post Clock In/Out and Labor On/Off with SAP Digital Manufacturing covering SAP Digital Manufacturing Time Tracking capabilities in detail.

Demo

Configure

To begin with, create a brand new or copy an existing Order POD.

In the Main Page, add a new Horizontal Toolbar and two new Action Buttons for Clock In and Clock Out activities.

Adjust each Action Button look and feel, including texts, icon, size, colors and etc, and click “Assign Actions”:

For each Action Button, add the respective Click In and Clock Out plugins as Actions:

Clock Out

Clock In and Clock Out setup is ready to go, now let’s configure Labor On and Labor Off activities.

In the Details page, use an existing or add brand new Horizontal Box and Horizontal Toolbar Controls.

Make sure Horizontal Box and Horizontal Toolbar are marked as visible and have enough Width and Height in Configuration Panel on the right hand side.

Add five Action Buttons with the following Text:

  • Labor On
  • Labor On Crew
  • Labor On SVK Operator Selection
  • Labor On SVK Specific
  • Labor Off

Adjust each Action Button look and feel, including texts, icon, size, colors and etc.

At this point in time, your Order POD should look like this:

Select each Action Button at a time, and click “Assign Actions”:

For the first four Action Buttons, select Labor On plugin and make sure that “Multi-Instance Configurable Plugin” is ON:

Once Labor On plugin is mapped to all four Action Buttons, click “Configuration” for each Labor On Action Button:

And configure each Labor On Action Button as follows:

Labor On

Leave all options with the existing default values.

Labor On Crew

Set Labor On Options field as “Labor On Crew”, and leave the rest as default.

Labor On SVK Operator Selection

Leave Labor On Options field as “Default”.

Switch Use Standard Value Keys to ON, and leave the rest as default.

Labor On SVK Specific

Leave Labor On Options field as “Default”.

Switch Use Standard Value Keys to ON, and select a specific Standard Value Key from the list for Default Selection for Standard Value field.

For the Labor Off Action Button, just select Labor Off plugin:

Labor On and Labor Off setup is ready to go.

Save the POD, publish and let’s use it.

Use

The Main Page of your Order POD should look like this, including Clock In and Clock Out Action Buttons:

Click Clock In and Clock Out to capture Attendance.

Next, move to Details page by selecting one of the available Process Order or Change.

Your Order POD Details page should look like this, including five Action Buttons for Labor On and Labor Off activities:

Based on the plugins configuration done in POD Designer, each Action Button should behave like this:
