Step 1: Purchase User, Michelle, logs into the system and I log into the system and navigate to SAP central invoice management to upload supplier invoice PDFs that were received from a supplier over email.

Step 2: Michelle now uploads supplier invoices in PDF file format directly.

Step 3: After the invoice pdf has been uploaded, the system extracts it using OCR technology and generates a Central Invoice ID.

Step 4: She can quickly go to the “Manage Supplier Invoice – Centrally” app and check the status of it.

Step 5: The invoice has been generated and she can check it in the report.

Step 6: Michelle can now review the invoice created in the system and also do a side-by-side comparison with the corresponding pdf invoice.

The customer can ask a Sales AE or a Partner to have the prices of the solution.   When the customer buys SAP Central Invoice Management it can use the SAP CIM Process Automation Bot to receive e-mails with invoices attached, detach them, and create them in the SAP Central Invoice Management.

Enhanced Invoice Analytics and Insights:  SAP S/4HANA’s central invoice management with AI enables organizations to leverage advanced analytics and reporting capabilities with the integration of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public edition. AI algorithms can analyze invoice data to identify trends, detect anomalies, and gain insights into vendor performance, payment terms, and cash flow patterns on the S/4 side. Currently, we are using SAP BTP DOX OCR, and the same needs to be trained and localized for each country before being used to adapt business requirements.
