Mass assignment of Inspection types QA08

Mostly SAP expert have an issue to assign inspection type at the time of upload or create new

material. In this blog we are showing you in detail how can you assign inspection type and update

“Avg Inspection Duration” in mass maintenance.

Start by opening the transaction code QA08 in your SAP system.

Enter the plant for which you want to assign the inspection types. You can also specify other

selection criteria such as the material or material group if needed.

Click on the “Activate Inspection Type” tab.

Check on Activate Inspection Type option.

Enter inspection type you want to assign on selection criteria.

Click on execute.

In the next screen, you’ll see a list of materials or material groups based on your selection criteria.

Select the materials for which you want to assign inspection types.

Click on save.

if you want to update “Avg Inspection Duration” in mass maintenance.

Start by opening the transaction code QA08 in your SAP system.

Enter the plant for which you want to assign the inspection types. You can also specify other

selection criteria such as the material or material group if needed.

Click on the “Mass Processing” tab.

Enter inspection type you want to assign on selection criteria.

Click on execute.

In the next screen, you’ll see a inspection type assignment window.

Add / Update “Avg Inspection Duration” like 4, 5, 14.

In the next screen, you’ll see a list of materials or material groups based on your selection criteria.

Select the materials for which you want to assign inspection types.

Click on save.
